This year I want to focus on three hobbies. They are my get away time outside of work. Since I enjoy many hobbies, it was hard to just pick three. This year no new hobbies, equipment, games or distractions– I want to find the value in what I already own and I already do.
A hobby is something I enjoy, spend money, need to be good at and share with others. This year I will focus on camping, golfing and fishing. I own a Casita 17 ft. Independence which sleeps two comfortable. My son and our new dog, Chewy can slip out a few weekends and enjoy the outdoors. Also, my wife will be attending one of the fly fishing events this Spring I will be hosting. On the weekend, I enjoy playing golf with some friends that coached sports with my children. My friend, Mike send a text out before the weekend to about 10 in our group and we fill the open spots. Sometimes we have one or two foursomes. This year I have regripped some old 1980 vintage Hogan Apex blade irons. Should be interesting since these irons will be less forgiving. Well work a shot and much less expensive than new irons… My real passion is fly fishing. I make several trips each year and just enjoy being in a stream or kayak casting a few. What a great life. This year no new hobbies, equipment, games or books – I want to find the value in what I already own and I already do.
Good luck on your hobbies in 2018.
Peace be with you.
